#poetry - NOT A WINK by ASABE ADAMS

Not a wink!!! By Asabe Adamz
.
.
The whole night whirled by. Everywhere was silent, the silence being punctured by the barks of a dog every now and then. Inside the brown painted house all was quiet. The master bedroom;light dimmed was punctuated by light snoring. There was the little girl and her tired momma close together on the queen sized bed. Probably dreaming of the man of the house return from abroad the next day.

The next room was bathed in light revealing clothes and toys strewn around. The not so little boy slept clutching his comics book to his chest. A contented smile on his face; most likely caused by his dreams. Dreams of being a superhero like his comics. The book was gently slipped from his arms and the lights flicked out.

The last room was all tidy and had the appearance of a feminine touch. An open laptop sat on the table showing a wallpaper of a pretty teenager. Beside it lay an empty 1litre pack of diet fruit juice and a cup; evidence of a night spent busy. The bed looked a bit rumbled but was strangely empty.

The living room was all tidy and dark. The curtains been drawn and the light switched off. Save for the glow of the television one won’t have seen a thing. The double door fridge was opened, contents contemplated and banged short. A sinister laughter pierced the darkness; quiet low but easily heard. The screen showed the laughing evil monster getting ready to smack a quivering little boy. Suddenly their was a flash; superhero to the rescue.

There was a deep sigh as the channel was changed to a music one. Soft music caressed the air, as the dark figure wandered about restless. A head filled with thoughts. Finally the figure sat on the floor in a yoga pose and proceeded to do a routine of exercises and ballet dancing. An hour and a half passed, the alarm rang. It was 6a.m.

Another night had passed…. The teenager sighed. and once again she hadn’t slept all night.
Not a even wink….

I named the trending dance with my junior sisters BOLU AND LAIDE DOVER a night after watching lots of artiste do the dance by raising there hand up and there nose resting on thd elbow like they were sneezing, we debated on a name for it.

And the name we agreed on was DENSIM DANCE
dated Oct 20th

I Dover Olaginka as a fast rising act in Nigeria my sisters want a song for that dance like i did with YOBO DANCE and with a music video August 2015.

I did compose Densim dance but was unable to record the track due to November my birth month and December Gigs.

Early this year i saw the dance been tagged "DAB" i was so happy to see that but i promised my sisters nothing will stop me from droping the dance track

Read below

Dab (dance)
The Dab is a dance in which the dancer simultaneously drops the head while raising an arm, briefly resting the face inside the elbow in a gesture that has been noted to resemble “proper sneezing etiquette". [1] As a Sports Illustrated article about the phenomenon described the Dab boi (pronounced 'boy') “The dance is pretty simple; one leans in to their elbow like they’re sneezing." [2]
Origins
The Dab has its origins in the Atlanta hip-hop scene, but there is disagreement about who originated the dance.[3] Artists frequently mentioned as possible originators include Migos (as in "Look at My Dab", September 6, 2015), Skippa Da Flippa ,
Peewee Longway , and Rich The Kid.
Famous hip-hop rapper Bow Wow attempted to explain the origin of the dab dance, saying it related heavily to the cannabis dabbers community started long before the dance in 2012. He was met with opposition from other rappers who immediately took to twitter to insult and disagree with him.
[4]
There is also speculation that the dance originated from Dabbing, an action taken where someone snorts
cocaine from their elbow while acting like they are sneezing. However, there is no proof that this claim is true nor false. Cam Newton is well known for performing this dance when he scores a touchdown.
Popularity beyond the U.S. south
In 2015, the Dab rose to national prominence in the U.S. As XXL Magazine reported in August 2015, "What started as a regional down South adlib is quickly becoming a masterful maneuver in clubs and on street corners. It’s called dabbin’." [5]
Popularity in sports
The Dab gained popularity in U.S. sports following an eight-second celebratory Dab by Cam Newton , football quarterback for the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League, during a 2015 game against the Tennessee Titans during week ten of the season.[6] The game occurred on November 15, 2015. [7] According to a Sports Illustrated account of the incident, "[w]hen two Titans players confronted [Newton] about the celebration, he continued to dance in their faces, even as he backed away." [8]
After his famous dab against the Titans, Newton explained at a press conference why he had dabbed. He credited a 16-year old for instructing him to "dab on them folks":
It was later confirmed that the 16-year old was Newton's younger brother Caylin. [10]
As Sports Illustrated noted, Newton's dance was not the first incident of dabbing in professional sports. Several dabs occurred in games prior to Newton's highly publicized Dab:
September 13, 2015: Cincinnati Bengals running back Jeremy Hill dabbed during a game against the
Oakland Raiders. Sports Illustrated asserts that this "appears to be" the "earliest football dab."
October 4, 2015: Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Carlos Dunlap dabbed.
October 5, 2015: Lebron James dabbed during a preseason game.
October 10, 2015: Michigan Wolverines' Jehu Chesson dabbed after returning the opening kickoff for a TD against the Northwestern Wildcats .
October 12, 2015: Los Angeles Lakers guard D’Angelo Russell performed a "double dab" during a game.
October 27, 2015: Lorenzo Cain of the Kansas City Royals dabbed after a stolen base during Game 1 of the
World Series.
November 7, 2015 : Clemson coach Dabo Swinney dabbed after a victory over Florida State .
After Cam Newton's groundbreaking dab, there continued to be dabs during sports events around the world, including the following:
January 10, 2016: Paul Pogba dabbed after scoring for Juventus against Unione Calcio Sampdoria in the Serie A.
January 12, 2016: Jesse Lingard dabbed after scoring for Manchester United against Newcastle United in the
Premier League.
January 17, 2016: Luciano Narsingh dabbed after scoring the second goal for PSV Eindhoven against Feyenoord in the Eredivisie .
January 19, 2016: Victoria Azarenka dabbed after defeating Alison Van Uytvanck 6–0, 6–0 in the first round of the Australian Open .
January 24, 2016: Cam Newton dabbed after throwing a touchdown throw against the Arizona Cardinals.
January 26, 2016: Dustin Byfuglien of the Winnipeg Jets dabbed after his second goal in a game against the
Arizona Coyotes. The breakaway goal came while the Jets were shorthanded 5 on 3, in what would eventually be a 5–2 Jets victory.
January 30, 2016: Matthew Centrowitz, Jr. dabbed after winning the mile at the Camel City Invitational with a time of 3:54.02.
February 2, 2016: Jesse Lingard dabbed after scoring for Manchester United against Stoke City in the
Premier League.
February 6, 2016: UCLA gymnast
Sophina De Jesus included the Dab in her floor routine during a meet of the UCLA Bruins against the Utah Utes, a performance that went viral on YouTube. [11]
February 8, 2016: Denver Broncos wide receiver Andre Caldwell dabbed after catching a pass during the 2016 Super Bowl. [12] Actress Betty White was also seen hitting a Dab during
CBS 's Super Bowl pregame show.[13]
February 11, 2016: Arthur Viana commonly known as Pincho, dabbed after scoring the first goal for Drogabel against Loja Versátil in the Praiano 2016.
February 19, 2016 : Nawaf Al Abed of Al-Hilal FC dabbed after scoring the second goal for his team against Al-Ahli Saudi FC and winning the Saudi Crown Prince Cup.
February 21, 2016 : Penn State set the record for the world's largest synchronized dab at their annual Penn State Dance Marathon. [citation needed]
February 28, 2016: Alex Jackson, more commonly known as 'Jacko' or 'King of Dab', dabbed after nutmegging the keeper playing for AFC Bamboo against AFC Duke.
WWE tag team duo The Usos have also began incorporating the dab into their ring entrance, and during matches.

Luna says f(x) music is trendy, global

Luna of SM Entertainment girl group f(x) said that f(x)’s music has been successful because it is global and trendy.

The girl group is known for its high quality dance music in addition to its energetic performances.

Billboard named the quartet’s latest album “4 Walls” the No. 2 K-pop album of 2015.

“F(x) communicates a lot with composers from abroad, so we can connect better with our fans abroad. It also helps us to develop our musical color,” she said at a press conference before the Sunday performance of f(x)’s solo concert “Dimension 4 - Docking Station.

“We can share our music with fans all over the world, and listening to demo tapes helps us to see what kind of music is trendy abroad, in Europe or in the U.S., for example. We used to have some trouble putting Korean lyrics to songs composed abroad, but our lyricists work hard to find stylish and unique sources for us, and we can express ourselves in a more stylish, unique way,” she said.

Later, Luna also mentioned the members have played an important role in establishing f(x)’s musical identity.

“Krystal and Amber, in particular, seek out music in the latest trends,” she said. “When we‘re choosing our songs, they’re very active in recommending certain demos for our style. We think a lot about how we can perform more stylish, trendy music.”

F(x)‘s first exclusive concert since their debut in 2009 took place from Friday to Sunday at Olympic Hall in Olympic Park.
